Safety Harbor waterfront repairs: where visitors can still enter the park
The city’s recovery update keeps the marina, boat ramp and nearby parking closed while identifying an open entrance near Jefferson Street.

Visitors to Safety Harbor’s waterfront should use the park’s north entrance near Jefferson Street while the city continues hurricane recovery work. The city’s September 14 project update says Waterfront Park restrooms remain available.
The same update keeps public access closed to Veterans Memorial Lane parking, Veterans Memorial Park shelters, the boat ramp and the marina during construction. Those closures matter for anyone planning to launch a boat or meet at the shelters: access to the park does not mean those facilities have reopened.
The city expects the recovery projects to be completed by the end of December 2026. That is a projected timetable, and individual projects can finish earlier. Residents planning waterfront events or boating trips should check the city’s project page for subsequent updates before setting out.
